Take the next steps to co-create a more multicultural and innovative organization

Our team applies measurement, evaluation, and assessment to help you implement a meaningful and impactful DEI+B program or initiative

We partner with mission-driven organizations

  • B-corporations

  • Industry and leadership organizations

  • Foundations

  • Government and education organizations

  • Community-based non-profits

  • Consulting firms

Our compassionate and complex systems approach is one that facilitates a people-centered process for team learning, growth, and achievement of the results you truly desire

Co-create community by design

We believe organizational-level change requires that people come together in a community of learning.

We braid together insight from many different sources of knowledge to deepen people’s curiosity and commitment to continuously learn and improve together. We hope the seeds we plant will grow well past our direct involvement in your organization or program development.

Implement with an eye on results

We facilitate the engagement process in ways that cultivate practical and sustainable outcomes.

We are mindful of people’s time and resources. When things don't go as planned, we adapt and work with our clients to find the best way forward.

Organizational Assessment

Taking you from where you are to where you want to go.

Gain a better understanding of your organization’s current phase of development as well as what is possible with the Multicultural Organization Identity Development Continuum (MCOD).

We develop a DEI+B profile based on the MCOD, interviews, focus groups, and a survey.

You will walk away with a set of strategies that are the next best steps for your organization to evolve as a multicultural organization.

“Data2insight provided a framework for developing our diversity and inclusion initiative and gave specific steps to implement at various stages of our process. Although we are still in the beginning stages, we have a tighter focus and we have the tools that provide direction and inspire the confidence we need to work towards genuine change in our nonprofit organization.”

— Heidi Sewall, Development Manager at Copper Canyon Press

Strategic Planning
+ Roadmapping

Whether you need to update an existing plan or create one from scratch, we will help make your strategic plans measurable and in alignment with your organization goals.

Our plans go beyond prescription: we craft goals, create a year-by-year implementation plan, and develop a roadmap for measuring and evaluating your progress. Flexibility and iteration is built into every plan.

Your organization will have a deeper understanding and concurrence on DEI+B issues, and create a community of learning that you’ll work with to achieve your goals.

"Data2insight developed a strong DEI strategic plan that we are now implementing. The findings from the staff focus groups across our divisions provided important insights about our culture. What we learned from the organizational assessment will help us better advance diversity, equity, and inclusion."

— Kelly Snyder, Public Works Director at Snohomish County Public Works

Equitable Performance Measurement

Increasing your ability to transform data into credible, reliable, and timely evidence that serves as your true north.

We use the Practical Performance Measurement Process (PuMP) diagnostic to assess your current strategic plan and ensure you have measurable goals.

From there, we build a measurement team, design and define meaningful metrics, build buy-in from key stakeholders for each metric, design useful reporting tools, and improve performance.

"Data2insight helped us chart a path forward in our shared measurement work at a key point in our organization’s history. They were able to push our thinking by asking us tough questions that we had not previously considered and provided us with relevant examples of exemplary projects in other communities and other sectors. Most importantly, data2insight gave us tools that we can continue to use as we grow and change."

-Sarah Terry, Data Manager at Youth Development Executives of King County

Equitable Evaluation

Evaluation systematically answers questions about why, how, to what extent, and for whom your program or initiative is working.

Scattershot or overly academic evaluation is a problem that over half of the organizations on the planet are wrestling with today.

The solution is systematic inquiry informed by equitable principles and practices to solve complex problems.

We partner with people to collect, analyze, and synthesize credible and actionable evidence to measure, learn and improve processes and impact. Our equitable evaluation principles include:

  • engaging with the history of oppressed groups and their liberation

  • remain critical of our assumptions

  • de-center whiteness

  • prioritize allyship

  • value lived experiences

  • require community ownership

  • require representation in leadership

  • commitment to liberation for all

  • use data as flashlight, not a weapon

“If we had not done the upfront work of explicitly defining our intentions, our metrics for evaluation, and what success would look like, we would not have come to the same common understanding of our goals and mission that has made our institute a success."

-David A.C. Beck, Phd, Director of Research and Senior Data Fellow at University of Washington eScience Institute

Implementation

We bring guidance, decision-making and implementation support necessary for you to realize your desired results.

While strategic planning, measurement, and evaluation are vital to the success of an initiative, it is the action taken that will have the biggest impact. We apply implementation science theory and practice to ensure that your organization does not have what is often referred to as the know-do gap. This gap is the one where we know better, but we do not do better.

We have excellent project management and assistance, data collection, leadership learning and professional development, and communication talent on our team who are here to help you effectively implement your plan.

This will also help provide the support your staff needs to optimize impact, sustain your program or initiative over many years, make timely course corrections, and celebrate successes every step of the way.

“Data2insight’s work with Zeno highlights how the team is knowledgeable about and skilled at building a community of learning and organizational capacity to help community-based organizations achieve and increase desired impact.”

-Maile Hadley, Executive Director at Zeno

All of our projects come with an engagement launch session, online resource library tailored for your team, and a communications plan.
