Celebrating Women Everywhere
Musings of the Month
This International Women’s History Month we are celebrating our all-women core team, our clients and partners, and women everywhere.
Our origin story
From a young age our founder, Veronica, was inspired by her mom, Frieda, who was her childhood Girl Scout troop leader and a Girl Scout Field Executive. Frieda designed and delivered programs that introduced girls to different career opportunities in fields not historically open and/or welcoming to women, such as construction, policing, and architecture. Ultimately, these experiences encouraged Veronica to follow her interests when choosing her education, training, careers, and deciding to start her own business to bring meaning making to the world of data.
We support women and girls
Supporting young people, women, and girls of all ages to pursue their interests and realize their personal and professional dreams is something team data2insight is passionate about. In fact, Veronica is the Washington State co-chair of Million Women Mentors, a national organization with the mission to encourage girls and women to pursue, persist, and thrive in STEM careers.
Women who empower
Last week Veronica was thrilled to join Cathy Jackson, Director of Product and Technology at T-Mobile and Office of the CTO Principal Soibi Andrew-Jaja at Microsoft for the panel discussion "Women Who Empower: How Community Builds Lifelong Success for Women." They talked about what sparked their passion for their work, how they overcame barriers they faced as women, and investing in new friendships as part of our professional and personal journeys. Thanks to Chiew Jones, Director of Career Development and Experiential Learning at Northeastern University in Seattle for this invitation!
We are here for you
One of our core team values is putting people at the center. This means we are there for each other and our clients. For example, when one of our team members had a very sick baby, we rallied to make sure she did not have to worry about anything at work while she attended to her child. We were happy to cover for our teammate, and at the same time ensure work was completed for our clients. We journey together, and seek to demonstrate the kindness and compassion we have for humanity in everything we do.
Cheers to the virtuous cycle of women and girls empowering women and girls who empower women and girls who empower women and girls. When this happens, everyone thrives!
All the best,
team data2insight

Why is DEI measurement important?
⇒ If you cannot measure how you are doing, you can’t get to where you want to go (or even know when you get there).
⇒ Practical performance and process measurement is needed to celebrate your wins along the way. And you need to celebrate the wins because this is a long, ongoing journey.
⇒ DEI measurement is critical to learning, improving, and achieving the company’s strategic goals.
