Be Part of the #YouthQuake

08 Jan Be Part of the #YouthQuake

The Oxford Dictionaries’ Word of the Year is youthquake: a significant cultural, political, or social change arising from the actions or influence of young people.

You can invest in the power of our incredible youth to change the world by supporting Young Women Empowered (Y-WE).  Y-WE provides mentorship and empowerment programs for teen women in the greater Seattle area.  They serve a diverse group of girls, ages 13-18, and women mentors, ages 19-70+.  The organization is open to young women from all walks of life.

Y-WE youth and mentors also represent a myriad of family, sexual orientation, religious, political, and educational backgrounds.  They offer their programs free of charge, and Y-WE invites families to contribute as they are able.  Each year, Y-WE directly serves over 500 girls and women; and impacts over 1,500 community members.

To learn more, watch their video “How did Y-WE begin and what do we do?” on their Videos Page.

Data2insight hopes to continue supporting Y-WE and organizations like it in the new year.
