03 Jul data2insight Celebrates Independence

This week marks the 241st anniversary of America’s Independence from Britain.  However, observing Independence Day only became commonplace after the War of 1812.

On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence, announcing the colonies’ separation from Great Britain.  You can read more about the history of July 4 from the Library of Congress.
